2008 Exies Bacchus Competition - Race 2

Exies Bacchus race 2, same singlet, different person. Rebecca Rosato was able to blitz the field and come in almost two minutes ahead of Jim Salvestro. The cooler conditions made for some much faster times than in Race 1.

Third in was Nicole Restagno, followed by Stephen Joyce, Keith McDonald, Tony Moers, Teresa Burgess, Matt Trounce, Christina Salvestro and Adam Johnson in tenth.

Less than a minute separated ten from nineteen which is an indication of the competition for this Exies Bacchus Series.

Andrew Creek seemed to be taking it easy this week maybe just staying back to keep an eye on the rest of the field.

Robyn McKenzie and Wendy Minato gained a little extra speed this week improving on last weeks times as well as having a very social time which is what it is really all about.

The handicapper will have to put in for some overtime this week with people finishing in all sorts of order. A very time consuming and tricky job, especially when it is just for the love of it.

In the short course, sprinters Anthony Trefilo and Ben Potroz are able to make the rest feel like they are standing still. With only six seconds separating the pair.

Joshua Keenan was able to take first in the short run. Racking up those precious kilometres to earn the much sought after blue shirt.

Another young man doing well is Ben Favero who came in second followed by Arun Tiwari, taking a break from the long course this week. Hot on his heels was Luke Favero followed by last weeks winner Zac Trounce.

School cross country time will be fast upon us and with 67 starters in the short course training has obviously begun for some.

Newcomer Tess McAllister has maybe set some extra curricular work for some students with participants vying to overtake the teacher.
