2010 Surfer Competition - Race 6

It was a sea of shiny white running shoes at The Green Water Tower on Saturday afternoon, for what was a record turnout for the typical meet.

Phill Twigg showed that he is super fit zooming home to claim first in his debut attempt at the long course.

Simon Croce had only one to count in as he was the second over the line, well done!

What a stella performance by Nicole Restagno who powered home for third place in the long course she displayed extremely fine form.

It seemed to be more hectic in the short course; did the grueling 8km scare some punters off?

The short course showed some super fine performances, James Stockwell came first and Maree Rinaldo and Alex Provera ran in second and third respectively.

Fastest time on the long course was Vince Restagno 32.13 and it can’t go without mention Adam Johnson’s time which was 2 seconds off Restagno’s.

In the short course Ben Potroz blitzed the field again in a speedy 12.26.

The performances this week transformed the tally board Glenys Greenaway is still on top at Race 6 of The Surfer Competition, although now Nicole Restagno is sitting not far behind in second and Simon Croce is now in third, keep watching this space as the next few weeks will determine who will grasp the prize.
