Postcard from Hillston Outback Triathlon

The story of the day belongs to Lucia I think. She had some friends to stay over the weekend (not your average feral athletic types who can't resist an event). She managed to persuade them to have a go at the micro event - he rode the bike, she swam in the lake and Lucia did the run. They were rewarded for their effort with a take home medal to show off to the neighbours and a fun day was had by all.

It was a bit windy on the day and I think I drew the short straw with the bike leg. A nice tail wind on the 5k outward bound leg but a decent headwind on the way back in. But everyone else was in the same boat and I was pleased with my effort. Lyn tackled the swim for our team in the sprint event and Rita did the run looking fresh as a daisy from start to finish.
Tracey took out the women's individual trophy for the sprint and Adam came in third. Other ferals and Griffith non-ferals also did us proud.
